Mother & Son

Hi! We are Stijn and Anne-riek, mother and son, and together we run Oud & Stoer Woonaccessoires.

My mother had dreamed for a long time of having her own shop with rustic home accessories. She often talked about it, but it never quite happened. When the corona period began in 2020, we decided to simply give it a try. Alongside my studies I built the webshop, and together we went in search of the most beautiful, unique home accessories. Old wooden bowls, jugs, baskets, furniture with a story: pieces you don't see everywhere.

We soon settled on the name Oud & Stoer ("old & rugged"): beautiful old items and rugged pieces. People often think our name is about the range, but the real idea behind it is a little different. "Oud" stands for my mother and "Stoer" for me. A mix of young and old, just like our collection.

The first orders came in and we received lots of lovely reactions. After three years it was time for the next step: on 1 April 2023 we got the keys to our own shop and showroom in Bilthoven. That was a truly special moment for both of us.

Now, in 2026, we have welcomed so many lovely customers to the showroom and our orders travel all over the world. How amazing is that? We are proud of it.

We couldn't do it with just the two of us. A big compliment to my father, the best packer in the Central Netherlands region. He is responsible for almost every parcel that arrives at your door. Without him, Oud & Stoer wouldn't exist.
